But Fire Emblem has gone mainstream and it’s time to talk about the latest entry in the wildly popular series, Fire Emblem Engage. Usually that’s the sort of thing that’s reserved for hardcore fanboys (*cough cough*) and pretty much no one else. Since then, the franchise has exploded and the fan base is massive, surprising for a hardcore turn-based strategy RPG with permadeath. In fact, Nintendo re-released Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light as a limited digital release a little while ago and it still holds up to this day (our review here). While the franchise only came to North America with the release of Fire Emblem for the Game Boy Advance in 2003, the first game in the series was released wayyyyy back on the Famicom in 1990 by Intelligent Systems. The memento is unique to each character.Fire Emblem has been around for a rather long time. Mementos from CharactersĪfter giving the Pact Ring to 1 other character and unlocking their unique paired ending, you'll be able to find a new memento left behind by that character in the Memento Drawer. The Pact Ringįor most of the game, the Pact Ring is the important item locked inside the Memento Drawer. It is possible that you will not find your desired ally at the Somniel to give the Pact Ring. The Pact Ring can only be given to an ally once and cannot be taken back, so think it over before committing. ▶︎ Romance Guide Can Only Be Given to One Unit The unit will also receive a new entry in the Ally Notebook to provide a glimpse of how things are after exchanging promises. The bonus is equal to twice the number of allies who have acted previously, so this is best used near the end of your turn. The Boon of Elyos provides a boost in Crit and Dodge when the unit starts combat. When you have given an ally the Pact Ring, the Boon of Elyos becomes available for both the ally and Alear. ▶︎ How to Get S Rank Support Stat Buffs in Battle We'll just have to leave our ships to our imagination. However, they can still reach A-Rank supports and gain the benefits from it. Unlike the other recent Fire Emblem titles, there doesn't seem to be any way to pair up your other allies to get them to S-Rank. Allies Cannot Have S-Rank Supports With Each Other These unique paired endings show a life lived with the chosen unit. You will be able to view a special paired ending with your chosen ally after giving the Pact Ring to the unit. Normally, units are only able to go up to A-Rank Support level. The Pact Ring essentially acts as the S-Rank Support, as it boosts the ally to a rank above A (only denoted with a ring icon). You can give the Pact Ring to 1 A-Rank Support ally. ▶︎ Paralogue: The Connector Walkthrough Pact Ring Effects Replaces S-Rank Support with Main Character After completing the Paralogue, you can get the Pact Ring from inside the Memento Drawer in your room at the Somniel.īefore completing the Paralogue, trying to open the Memento Drawer will just say "It looks like something important belongs here."
